Niven Fischer, A Sproule Company was formed in 1998 by bringing together two energy services companies, Niven Engineering Corporation founded by Robert Niven and A.F. Fischer, A Sproule Company., founded by Alfred Fischer. The new entity combined the experience and the broad range of energy consulting services offered by these two companies and Niven Engineering predecessor companies (dating back to 1972), in the fields of engineering, production, operations and asset management. The experience base was further expanded in 2007 with the addition of Randy Green as the third Principal of the company, who brought with him over 23 years of experience in exploration and management in the oil and gas industry. In January 2010, Mr. Green became the Managing Principal and in January 2011, Mr. Niven and Mr. Fischer sold their interest in Niven Fischer to Mr. Green and retired from day-to-day involvement in the company. Both continue to provide their guidance and wisdom to the company in an advisory capacity as Principals Emeritus and Mr. Fischer continues to assist with business development and acquisition and divestiture assignments. In July 2011, Brian Carnahan, a past partner of Mr. Green's at Hornet Energy Ltd. joined Niven Fischer as a Principal.
Since 1998, Niven Fischer has provided operations management services to over two dozen oil and gas companies in Western Canada and has managed production up to 10,000 boe per day. A large number of the projects during the first five years were receivership related, either managing assets for receivers or completing evaluations. Over the last ten years, Niven Fischer has expanded the services provided to industry to include oil and gas asset management, land management, liability management, due diligence, advisory and operations management. During this time, the company has grown to include six experienced Senior Associates, and a full compliment of technical professionals and administrators. Today, Niven Fischer has the capability of a fully functioning oil and gas company, the only difference being, we manage third party assets rather than our own.
